During my undergrad years, I studied Human Biology at UC Irvine in hopes to becoming a provider one day to help patients who need it. I spent 4+ years gaining valuable experience volunteering and working in the medical field.
What I learned from my medical experiences was not just more medical skills and knowledge, but also how to feel compassion for others and learning how to best support them - whether it's feeding them, lending an ear to listen to provide company, or ensuring of a safe discharge and exit out of the hospital.
I began gravitating toward design as a creative. What inspires me about design is still my background in the sciences and medicine. To me, design means trying to learn new things about users through asking questions and performing testing to validate our hypotheses. To me, design also means finding and exploring where and how we can best support people.
Previously, I've designed internal tools for Wayfair, redesigned website experiences for ecommerce and non-profit clients, and conducted usability testing for Github. Currently, I'm looking for full-time remote or new grad design opportunities.
While I'm not designing in Figma, I'm either studying MS HCDE at UW, playing video games, watching anime, cooking/baking or spending time with friends trying or creating food!
